THE FIRST PILLAR OF ISLAM:

1. Believing in the Oneness of Allah (swt), also called Tawheed

Which is obligatory among the new and reborn Muslim:

1st-kalma La Ila Ha Illal Laho Mohammad ur Rasool Allah

There is No GOD but ALLAH,Mohammad is His Messenger.

These words are said for new/reborn Muslims and it become a part of your whole life as soon as you say it.

• He is Attributed with Eternity
• He has no Beginning/End
• He is not to be Attributed with anyone
• He has power to do Anything
• He is the ONLY Creator
• Only His Creation Has a Beginning/End
• He is the Creator of the world and every Molecule within it
• He gives Sustenance
• He is the Only one who can Create/Destroy
• His Creation cannot create OR destroy (the one who cuts an apple cannot put it back together)
• He doesn't Anybody
• ONLY HE SHOULD BE WORSHIPPED

{Allah has the perfect Attributes that are not similar to the attributes of others.} Everything other than Allah is created (i.e., this entire universe).

Mu'awiya bin Qurra reported that 'Abdullah bin Al-Maghaffal Al-Muzani said, "I saw Allah's Apostle on the day of the Conquest of Mecca, riding his she-camel and reciting Surat-al-Fath (48) or part of Surat-al-Fath. He recited it in a vibrating and pleasant voice. Then Mu'awiya recited as 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal had done and said, "Were I not afraid that the people would crowd around me, I would surely recite in a vibrating pleasant voice as Ibn Mughaffal did, imitating the Prophet." I asked Muawiya, "How did he recite in that tone?" He said thrice, "A, A , A."

"Allah does not listen to anything as He listens to the recitation of the Quran by a Prophet who recites it in attractive audible sweet sounding voice."

The Prophet was hiding himself in Mecca and used to recite the (Qur'an) in a loud voice. When the pagans heard him they would abuse the Qur'an and the one who brought it, so Allah said to His Prophet: 'Neither say your prayer aloud, nor say it in a low tone.' (17.110)

While the Prophet was in a funeral procession, he took a stick and started scraping the earth with it and said, "There is none of you but has his place assigned either in Hell or in Paradise." They (the people) said, "Shall we not depend upon that (and give up doing any deeds)?' He said, " Carry on doing (good deeds) for everybody will find it easy to do such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created ." (And then the Prophet recited the Verse):-- 'As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah...' (92.5)

THE SECOND PILLAR OF ISLAM - NAMAZ

1. Wudhu - Start by saying the second Kalma (Shahadat):

Important Fardh (requirements- if one fardh is missing, the Wudhu is incomplete) in Wudhu (follow the instructions):

Wash hands starting from the RIGHT hand.

Then clean your teeth with a Miswak and toothbrush

Gargle water in your mouth WHILE washing nose up to the top of your nostrils.

Gargle water in your mouth WHILE washing nose up to the top of your nostrils.

Wash Complete face starting from your forehead.

Wash Arms (starting with the RIGHT hand) Up to the elbows.

Wash hair DOWN TO THE ROOTS Three times.

Wash ears completely at the same time.

Wash Feet starting from the RIGHT one in between and around toes.

• Wash from the face from forehead to the lower portion of the chin and from one ear lobe to the other.
• Wash both arms, including both feet and the elbows, once
• Doing Masah-wiping the head with water upto the roots of a quarter of the head once
• Washing of both the feet, including the ankles, once.

Once all is said and done, start the Wudhu properly which is:

• Washing the right hand up to and including the wrists. Make sure to rub between the fingers of the hand. And thus make sure no part of the hand is left dry three times.
• Brush teeth with a Miswak or Tooth brush if you're in the west
• While Gargling 3 times, pass water into the nostrils thrice
• Khilal of the beard (which is washing in between the hair on your beard.)
• Khilal of the fingers and toes (which is when you pass water into the nostrils thrice.)
• Washing of each part three times
• Masah (rubbing your head with water to the root of your hair 3 times)
• Masah of both the ears once
• Wudhu done systematically, that is it has to be organized for the maximum return.
• Washing of each part one after the other without pause, so no part dries up before the Wudhu is completed
  *If a sunnat (following the practices of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa) is left out, the Wudhu is complete but full sawaab (reward is not gained.

There are 5 Mustahab's (preferences) in the Wudhu

• Beginning from the right
• Masah of the nape (back of the neck)
• Not to take assistance from anyone
• Facing the Qibla
• Sitting on a high and clean place.
  There is only a reward for this (sins are not welcome)

There are Makrooh's (neither reward will be recorded nor sin will be erased).

• Wudhu in a dirty place
• Cleaning the nose with the right hand
• Talking of worldly affairs
• To do Wudhu against the Sunnat
  

As Makrooh has been done, You don't have to Wudhu

GHUSAL

A very very important part of Islam is the "Ghusal", these steps to perform the "Ghusal" are:

1. Step one: have the Intention to perform Ghusalto the in your mind, body, heart, and soul.
2. Step two: Recite Bismillah Hi-Rruhman-Nirraheem, It means: "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, MOST Merciful."
3. Step three: Wash The right hand, 3 times (getting in between fingers and all around the hand), then the left hand, 3 times (getting in between fingers and all around the hand); making sure that the whole hand is dry.
4. wash the private parts.
5. Wash right hand up to the wrist 3 times , then wash the left hand up to the wrist 3 times, making sure that both hands are dry.
6. Put water in your mouth while putting water in the nose 3 times each (at the same time)
7. Put water on your right hand up to and including the elbow 3 times, and put water on your left hand up to and including the left hand 3 times. Making sure that it is dry in the ending
8. Wash your head with water three times making sure you get deep into the roots. also making sure that the hair is dry in the ending.
9. Wash your right foot 3 times, and the the left foot 3 times, making sure that they are both dry.
10. Take a shower, starting from your right side to your left side (making sure that no part of the body is left behind), also getting the head. then rub yourself to the touch making sure it is dry.

The following Dua's complete the ghusl:

( I bear witness that there is no god except Allaah alone, with no partner or associate, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.)

( O Allaah, make me one of those who repent and make me one of those who purify themselves)

The question raised is "why do we need the ghusal?" the following para explains why:

Ghusl is required as an obligatory act in the following cases:

1. After the discharge of semen as a result of stimulation whether awake or asleep (i.e. in a wet dream). This state is known in Arabic as "JUNUB". If, after the dream no wetness is traced in one's clothing, bathing is not obligatory. However, in case wetness is found but without recalling any dream, performing Ghusl is obligatory. This is based on the hadeeth of Umm Salamah, who reported that Umm Sulaim, the wife of Abu Talha, asked Allaah�s Messenger (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam), saying: �Allaah is not shy when it comes to the truth. So is it obligatory for a woman to perform ghusl if she has a wet dream (i.e. seminal fluid comes out)?� The Prophet (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) responded: �Yes, if she sees the fluid.� This hadeeth is reported by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim.
2. After sexual intercourse performing Ghusl is required. It is to be done after sexual intercourse, regardless of whether one ejaculated or not. A male is obligated to perform ghusl if just the head of his private organ enters (the female private organ), even if it is for one second. This is based on the hadeeth of Abu Hurairah (radyAllaahu �anhu) who said: Allaah�s Messenger (pbuh) said: �When a man sits in between the four parts of a woman and enters into her (for intercourse), the ghusl becomes obligatory.� Reported by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim. In Muslim�s report, there is the addition: ��even if he doesn�t ejaculate.� The women falls under the same ruling as the man in this regard.
3. Following a period of menstruation, a woman is required to perform Ghusl.
4. At the end of 40 days after childbirth, a woman is required to perform Ghusl but if the bleeding stops before completing the 40 days period, then she must make the Ghusl as soon as the bleeding stops.
5. When a Muslim dies, Ghusl is required for him/her except for the Jihad Martyr (Shaheed).

2. Namaz is Obligatory among all Muslims as a source of bringing purity into your life.

The Five types of Namaz are:

Note: if it is too cloudy for you to see the sun and you dont know which way the Kaabah is, then let your instincts guide you;
We often find ourselves in nature or in another place where we don't know the geographical orientations. For Muslims, this can be a source of distress because when you don't know the appropriate orientation for Al Qibla, one feels uncomfortable to perform their prayers to an arbitrary orientation. The "Qiblah" is the direction towards which the Muslim prays. This direction is towards the Kabaa in Mecca, Saudi Arabia

• You need an accurate watch with arms. If you don't have one you can imagine yourself wearing one
• Make the shorter arm of your watch oriented to the sun:
• The median between the shorter arm of your watch and the 12 sign is the orientation of the south.
• If you find the south then you can find your orientation and thus the one of the Qibla in the location you are in.
• Look at the south, the north is behind you, the east is on your left and the west is on the right.
• Keep in mind that the sun moves from the east (at the sun rise) to the south (at noon) to the west (at sunset)

Important Note: If you start to pray as soon as the Azaan begins, the more reward you will receive plus your prayer will be more easily accepted!

Before you start you start Namaz say:

Number of Rukat namaz, Namaz (Fajr or Zuhr or Asr), Standing before the Khana Kaaba, for Allah (swt), When behind an Imam or Qari or Mufti who is about to read Namaz - say his full name, Then do the Qayyam, Say Allahhu-Akbar while raising your hands up to your ears.

PRAYER IS MUST AFTER EACH NAMAZ behind the Imam

• FAJR - Which includes 2 Sunnat first (then pray), and 2 Fardh behind the Imam
  (then pray) carefully as you might get exactly what you want!-
  This to be completed Before the Sun rises
  
  
• DHUHR - Which includes 2 Sunnat * 2 Sunnat (then pray) before the Adhaan, 4 Sunnat following the Adhaan, 4 Fardh behind the Imam (then pray), 2 Sunnat after reading namaz behind the Imam, and 2 Nafal in the end. The DHUHR is to be started when the Sun is put in place at the top most peak and MUST be completed before the Asr Azaan.
  
  
• ASR - Which includes 4 Sunnat (then pray) after the Adhaan and 4 Fardh (then pray) behind Imam.
  Which is to be started when the Sun sets completely (until you see no spot of it in the night sky).
  
  
• MAGHRIB - Which includes 3 Fardh behind the Imam (then pray), 2 Sunnat, (then pray) and 2 Nafal (then pray) Which is to be started during before the evening and before the Isha Azaan.
  
  
• ISHA - Which includes 4 Sunnat (then pray), Fardh behind the Imam (then pray), 2 Sunnat (then pray), 2 Nafal (then pray), 3 Witr (then pray) which has to be perfect, 2 Nafal (then pray)
  
  
• Don't be selfish when you pray, because you will get a beautiful reward

*Prayer which is done after the Imaam, or Maulvi or Mufti, whoever is in charge of Prayer is finished reading Fardh.

Once the Leader of the Mosque is finished reading FARDH, start counting the Tasbeeh and saying SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and AllahHuAkbar until it ends to the ending.

Then start Praising Allah Subhanahu wa tallah in your most beautiful words, here is a Dua that will help you get you started (Inshallah Ta'la):

Allah Azza Wa Jall, Allah Subhanahu Wa Tallah, Allah Ta'la, Allah Nur-ul Wassamawati Walardh.

Then Bless our beloved Prophet - Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallalahu alaihi Wassallam), His Ummah, His Family, His Friends, His Companions (Slaves).

Then you can ASK for anything you want (no orders what soever).

Masjid-E-Nabwi

Fajar will be useful when you die, Zuhr will be useful when you are in your grave, Asr will be useful when you are not allowed to speak, Maghrib will be useful when two angels called Munkar and Nakeer come ripping through earth and ask you 3 questions:

"MAN RABBUKA" meaning 'Who is your lord'?

"MAA DEENUKA" meaning 'what is your religion' ?

"MAA KUNTA TAQUL FEE HAZAR RAJL" meaning 'What did you used to say about this person'?,

Your Answer MUST be:

"RABBUNALLAH" my lord is Allah,
"DEENIL ISLAM" my religion is Islam,
"HUWA RASOOLULLAHE SALALLAHO ALAIHI WASSALLAM" This is Allah's Messenger, He has been embraced with Allah's mercy, greeting to Him.

Isha will be useful when you will receive a Gift from the heavens.

THE THIRD PILLAR OF ISLAM

Upon having the intention to go to Mecca for Hajj, one must recite the following Surah - Very important:

3. Makkah is the most sacred place of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw), Mecca is where you will find mosque in Saudi Arabia

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:

"I have not seen a single thing which makes a person free from want (financially secure) quicker, nor which is more effective in removing poverty, than continuously performing Hajj (year after year)."

As Muslim's, all of us-Hadhrat Adam (saw)'s-children, it is an obligation upon us to visit the House of The Almighty Creator, at least once in his lifetime, if we are unable to perform the Hajj Faith in the Creator is more than enough.

"Keep the Almighty Creator in your heart and He will keep you in your heart." -Raheel Awan

Hajj is important to Muslims because: you are visiting the house of Allah (swt), It is a sanctuary for those who are repenting for their sins, and seeking mercy for their sins.

“Lo! Those who give alms, both men and women, and lend to Allah a goodly loan, it will be doubled for them, and theirs will be a rich reward.”[Al-Hadid: 18]

I was with the Prophet (on a journey) between Mecca and Medina, and all of them, (i.e. the Prophet and his companions) were in the state of Ihram, while I was not in that state. I was riding my horse and I used to be fond of ascending mountains. So while I was doing so I noticed that the people were looking at something. I went to see what it was, and behold it was an onager. I asked my companions, "What is that?" They said, "We do not know." I said, "It is an onager.' They said, "It is what you have seen." I had left my whip, so I said to them, "Hand to me my whip." They said, "We will not help you in that (in hunting the onager)." I got down, took my whip and chased the animal (on my horse) and did not stop till I killed it. I went to them and said, "Come on, carry it!" But they said, "We will not even touch it." At last I alone carried it and brought it to them. Some of them ate of it and some refused to eat of it. I said (to them), "I will ask the Prophet about it (on your behalf)." When I met the Prophet, I told him the whole story. He said to me, "Has anything of it been left with you?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Eat, for it is a meal Allah has offered to you."

THE FOURTH PILLAR OF ISLAM

4. Fasting in Islam

Fasting happens during the month of Ramadhan, which comes for one month, once a year. In this month, it is a duty for able Muslims to go without any food or water (FROM ANYTHING GOING INTO THE MOUTH), it is observed from fajr, until maghreb.

In this sacred and beautiful month, The Islamic Holy Scripture is the message brought down from the heavens and it is Our Prophet (pbuh) who received the message from our Almighty Creator. It is in this month, Reading our Holy scripture, Praying Namaz, Family togetherness, and reciting any Surahs from our Holy Scripture gives us a reward.

The Messenger of Allahu ta'ala (pbuh) said, "When a Believer begins to perform namaz the gates of Paradise will open for him. The curtains between his Allah and him will go up. Before the sun starts to rise, Muslims are to eat and drink and consummate their marriage, and once they are ready to hold their Fast

THE FIFTH (BUT NOT LAST) PILLAR OF ISLAM

5. Zakaat

Zakaat is whereby Muslims are to spend a portion (2.5%) of their weekly, monthly, or Yearly to the poor. If one has Enough money or subsidies to support himself and his family, he has to give his dues to the poor accordingly.

Seek help from God against the drunkeness of wealth, of which one cures oneself only with such difficulty.

It is excess of riches that corrupts men's bearts, and multiplies sins. One wins a fortune by taking risks. Happy is be whose riches are won by honest means. Money is not lost when it is spent for your good name. Whosoever gets no profit from what he possesses, only accumulates it for his wife and her next husband. Do not count the man as rich who does not spend. Whosoever disobeys worldly possessions, will be `obeyed' by worldly possessions.
